The Mystery Craters at South Kolan, just outside Bundaberg, are a cluster of craters whose origins are still a subject of debate, with plenty of theories to weigh up on the way round.

This is a self-guided visit, so you explore at your own pace. Along the way you learn about the geological formations, the history of the site and the competing explanations for how the craters came to be, and you can visit the Earth Room.

Allow about an hour. There's a cafe on site with drinks and snacks for different dietary needs, and a gift shop on the way out. You'll need your own transport to get there.
