• Boats. Whitsundays sailing boats differ a lot by crowd. Some run 18 to 30s party trips. Others are small and quiet: the Habibi 2 day 1 night sail (ab 289 €) has private cabins for everyone and takes a mixed-age crowd. Private cabins on the bigger boats are possible but cost a lot more, so we quote them on request.
• Big days. You choose which ones. Skydive, reef dive, Daintree, a cooking class or a long lunch in the Byron hinterland. Nothing gets added because it’s on the standard backpacker list.

One honest limit: K’gari (Fraser Island) tours have no private rooms. It’s shared rooms or tents for a night or two, whatever your age.
